NCSOFT warns — buying Kinah or Quna outside the game can get you banned

OtherPublished:

Key points

  • Buying Kinah or Quna from unauthorized third parties breaks the Terms of Service.
  • Penalties go up to losing access to the game.
  • NCSOFT reserves the right to publish details of the actions it takes.
  • The post calls itself the first and only warning.

Full rundown

Short and blunt, posted October 4: NCSOFT says it is watching for currency bought outside the game. Two currencies are covered:

  • Kinah — the regular in-game money you earn from mobs, quests and trading,
  • Quna — the premium currency sold for real money in the official shop.

Paying real money for either one — to gold sellers, marketplace listings or other players — breaks the Terms of Service. The penalty can come fast and, at worst, means losing access to the game. NCSOFT adds that it may make its enforcement actions public, and ends with:

"Consider this your first and only warning."

On top of that, these deals usually mean handing your login or payment details to strangers. The legit freebies are on our Aion 2 codes page.
