Full rundown
NCSOFT labelled this one "weekly scheduled game server maintenance". It ran from October 4 at 22:00 PDT (October 5 at 07:00 CEST) for 8 hours, with game servers offline. Afterwards Advanced Access (the Founder's Pack head start) was over and the full free-to-play launch went live at 6:00 AM PDT / 15:00 CEST (launch news).
Improvements
- Character deletion — waiting period cut from 168 to 24 hours, and the minimum level drops from 10 to 1. Much easier to try several classes.
- Idle timer — the game sends you back to server select after 3 hours without input instead of 30 minutes.
- In-game announcements stay on screen for 10 seconds instead of 3.
- Quest objects are smoother to use: some no longer disappear, others respawn faster.
- Bosses — some got stronger: NCSOFT found them too weak for the five-player groups they were designed for. If dungeons feel harder than in Early Access videos, this is why.
Bug fixes
- Characters on Auto Move during quests sometimes snapped back when approaching other players — fixed.
- A Journal → Duty bug. Until the fix: if you opened the Duty tab before level 45, Duties only became available the day after you hit 45; if you didn't, they were available right away. More on the timing in daily and weekly reset times.
- The "Content" entry appeared several times under Settings → Key Settings → Menu — fixed.
- Closing the client mid-quest could block follow-up quests — fixed.
- Players who can't fly to Verteron or Altgard during the Poeta/Ishalgen Hero Quests get a teleport button in the Quest Tracker.
- The "Vanguard of Atreia" title showed up as "Shaper of Heavens" — fixed.
Known issues (list from Oct 3–4)
NCSOFT also keeps a known issues post. Besides Duty, it listed a "Please Try Again Later" chat error that stops messages from being sent or shown. Switching characters, going through a loading screen or relogging clears it.
