Cleric Guide & Build (Aion 2)

Weapon: mace and guard · Role: healer who fights from range like a caster while leveling

Everything for the Cleric from level 1 to endgame: what to level, how to set up your bar, who to heal, when and with what, gear, your first dungeon as a healer and the plan after 45. Collected from several guides and players. Where sources disagree, I say so plainly.

12

Set your level and you will see below what to do right now. The page remembers it in this browser.

Skill points

  • Bolt from 14: always by hand, hold to charge level 3
  • Divine Aura up (at 8, around 21: Changes to AoE Skill for packs)
  • Daevanion: orange Cooldown Reduction and Combat Speed first, then Condemnation → Divine Aura → Bolt (Daevanion tab)

Watch out / what to do

  • Don't click "Acquire All Nodes"
  • Elites: Debilitating Mark → Chain → Bolt → Condemnation
  • ~17: amulet +10, then Morph
  • Hideouts at 15 and 20

Next milestone: level 19

  • Earth's Retribution and Judgment Thunder to 8: first specializations
  • Krao Cave at 20

Where to put your next point

Enter your skill levels from the in-game skill window. The page calculates for the character level set above and remembers your entries in this browser.

Skill bar for level 12

Arrange your skills like this in the skill window. Row 0 is the row right at the bar and has the highest priority. A filler with no cooldown always goes at the top of its column (Lipej).

KeyRow 0Row 1Row 2Row 3How to use
LMB
Earth's Retribution
only one slot here. Hold it all the time, it restores mana
RMB
Chain of Torment
Debilitating Mark
Condemnationnew
Judgment Thunder
Chain line, held together with LMB via the macro (10 ms). Until you get Chain, it's just Judgment Thunder
Q
Earth Punishment from 22
Lightning Strike Scattershot
Divine Aura
Light of Regeneration
Aura line, in the macro one step before the Chain line, so Earth Punishment lands before Condemnation
E
Bolt from 14
by hand: hold to charge level 3, outside the macro
1
Healing Lightnew
by hand, when someone just took a hit
2
Radiant Recoverynew
by hand: after a heavy hit on the whole party or to cleanse debuffs
3
Defiance from 16
breaks stun and knockdown

Next change at 22: Add Earth Punishment to row 0 on Q. Expand the macro: Earth's Retribution → Q chain → RMB chain → RMB chain → Earth's Retribution → RMB chain, each step 10 ms. Summon Resurrection (1 point) goes into a stigma slot in dungeons if your group keeps dying.

Skills join the bar as you unlock them in the campaign. Off the bar: the swap-in stigmas (Summon Resurrection, Benevolence, Absolution), which you slot in place of another stigma for dungeons. Keys 4 and 8 stay free, e.g. for potions.

Rules that never change

  • Chain of Torment → Condemnation is your core. Condemnation only works on a target with Chain of Torment, so Chain always goes first. From 22 the Earth Punishment stigma joins in: Condemnation on that target always crits. It resets after every such crit only once Condemnation is level 12 (10 from points + 2 Daevanion nodes, around 30–32 in this plan) with the cooldown-reset specialization. Every source agrees (aLuckyRO, couga54).
  • Hold Earth's Retribution on left mouse button all the time, because every use restores 110 MP. Play in target mode: your basic attack then fires on its own between skills (couga54, aLuckyRO).
  • While leveling, points go into attacks, not heals. A heal-focused Cleric levels slowly. The passive Radiant Benediction heals your party anyway whenever you hit (couga54, Lucia).
  • Heal whoever just took a hit and spend the rest of the time attacking. In dungeons rewards depend on contribution, so a Cleric who only heals can walk away with nothing (couga54, ExpCarry). Don't put Healing Light, Radiant Recovery or Bolt in your macro, you use them by hand. The exception: Light of Regeneration sits in the Q chain and from 22 the macro casts it on cooldown.
  • Skill points only raise skills up to 10. Beyond that (11–20) you use the Daevanion board (+4), Arcana cards and soul binding on gear. Changing specializations is free, so feel free to experiment (couga54, aLuckyRO).
