Spiritmaster (Elementalist) Guide & Build (Aion 2)

Weapon: orb · Role: spirit summoner, ranged damage

In the game and on NCSOFT's official site this class is called Spiritmaster. Elementalist is its internal name in the game data, used by some guides (e.g. couga54). Same class. You fight from range while a summoned spirit fights next to you. Everything from level 1 to the endgame: what to max, how to set up your skill bar, what not to miss in the campaign, gear, your first dungeon and a plan for after 45. Collected from several guides and videos. Where sources disagree, I say so openly.

12

Set your level and you will see below what to do right now. The page remembers it in this browser.

Skill points

  • Cold Shock and Combustion: +1 level every 3 character levels (10 from 25)
  • Daevanion: Cold Shock → Combustion → Water Spirit → Fire Spirit (Daevanion tab)

Watch out / what to do

  • Don't click “Acquire All Nodes”
  • Don't take the Soul's Cry and Wind Spirit nodes early

Next milestone: level 14

  • Jointstrike: Curse for packs

Where to put your next point

Enter your skill levels from the in-game skill window. The page calculates for the character level set above and remembers your entries in this browser.

Skill bar for level 12

Arrange your skills like this in the skill window. Row 0 is the row right at the bar and has the highest priority. A filler with no cooldown always goes at the top of its column (Lipej).

KeyRow 0Row 1Row 2Row 3How to use
LMB
Cold Shock
only one slot here. You hold it all the time: mana and Attack stacks
RMB
Elemental Fusion from 14
Dimensional Controlnew
Jointstrike: Curse
Combustion
Fusion line: you hold it, Combustion fills the gaps. From 22 via the macro (10 ms)
Q
Summon: Water Spirit
Jointstrike: Corrode from 32
Summon: Earth Spirit
Summon: Fire Spirit
spirit line: Fire Spirit last, so it stays on the field
E
Rapid Scattershot
only when the boss is in Stagger
1
Defiance from 16
breaks stun and fear
2
Summon: Wind Spiritnew
first week only (aLuckyRO), then remove it
5
Enhance: Spirit's Benediction from 27
Flame Blessing from 37
Summon: Ancient Spirit from 22
buff line: buffs first, the Ancient Spirit last so it copies them

Next change at 22: On 5 you place Summon: Ancient Spirit, and right after summoning it you press Elemental Fusion. Now also set up the macro: the Q line, then the RMB line, each step Delay 10 ms. Assign the macro key in settings.

Soul's Cry stays off the bar, because it does nothing in PvE. Put “dismiss spirits” (a game function, not a skill) on 3 (couga54). Slots 4 and 6–8 stay free, e.g. for potions.

Rules that never change

  • Elemental Fusion, Combustion and Cold Shock are your core, plus the Summon: Ancient Spirit Stigma from level 22. For the endgame you add Summon: Fire Spirit. While leveling your main spirit is Summon: Water Spirit (couga54, aLuckyRO).
  • Buffs first, then the summon. A spirit copies your stats at the moment it is summoned. A buff cast after the summon does nothing for it. So never summon the Ancient Spirit without your buffs (DankRNG, Evripides, couga54).
  • Hold Cold Shock on the left mouse button all the time. It restores mana, and from skill level 12 it gives Attack stacks: up to +10% for you and every spirit you summon.
  • Press Elemental Fusion as soon as it lights up. Until you use it, new elements are lost. Only the last summoned spirit stays on the field, the previous ones vanish after 2–3 s, so the order of your spirits matters.
  • Skill points raise skills only up to 10. Beyond that: the Daevanion board (up to +4), Arcana cards (+4) and rings (+1 each), up to 20 in total. Resetting points and changing specializations is free.
