What is the Spacetime Rift?
The Spacetime Rift is a recurring portal into the opposing faction's continent — Elyos get sent to Altgard (Asmodian territory), Asmodians to Verteron (Elyos territory). It shows up in the world as a purple, swirling marker on the map, and it's only active for a short window — the rest of the time it simply isn't there.
Level requirement: 45. Below that you won't see the quests or be able to enter the portal (U4N, GamesFuze).
When it opens and how long you have
The rift opens every 3 hours, and the portal itself stays active for only 10 minutes — miss it and you wait for the next cycle. Once you're through, you get roughly one hour on the enemy continent (a separate timer from the portal's opening window); when it runs out, the game automatically sends you back (mein-mmo.de, GamesFuze).

Quests and rewards
Each faction has its own quest-giver for the rift: Asmodians pick up the chain from Uru (Quai Merchants, Altgard), Elyos from Mino (Wind Breeze Merchants, Verteron) — both available from level 45 (U4N).
Per U4N the chain has 4 quests, each giving 2,000 Abyss Points and a title, plus a separate item reward (a ring, earrings, a bracelet across the quests) and Kinah around ~21,000 for a regular quest and ~58,000 for the final one. The exact item list varies between guides (some list a Wisdom Stone or Daevanion Crystal instead) — check your in-game quest log rather than relying on a single list.
Beyond the quests, inside the rift you can:
- farm resources and monsters on enemy ground,
- clear garrisons and sealed dungeons for Kinah, Abyss Points and enhancement stones,
- hunt enemy players — but only with PvP turned on (see below).
The rift can grant Abyss Points even past your weekly cap from other activities (U4N) — one of the few ways to pick up extra points for the week.
PvP: entering the rift does NOT turn it on by itself
A common beginner mistake: stepping into the rift does not automatically put you at war with the other faction. That's controlled by a separate toggle — War Mode:
- You can only turn War Mode on or off inside your own faction's territory — you can't flip it once you're already in the rift, so decide beforehand.
- Switching has a 70-minute cooldown (U4N, GamesFuze) — you can't toggle it back and forth during one visit.
- With War Mode off, enemy players can't attack you and you can't attack them.
- Attacking an enemy guard or Kisk forces PvP on for about 10 minutes, even with War Mode off — if you're there purely for quests, stay away from guards and enemy Kisks.
Death and getting home safely
Dying in the rift ends your visit and sends you back to your own continent (mein-mmo.de). Per U4N, dying to a guard without a Resurrection Spiritstone sends you to your home territory and you won't be able to re-enter through the now-closed portal — so it's worth keeping one on hand as a backup.
To leave on your own terms (without waiting out the full hour): open the map (M), click the icon in the top-right corner (a circle with a star in the middle) and pick your home region (Altgard for Asmodians, Verteron for Elyos), then use a teleport scroll to your chosen travel point (mein-mmo.de).
Kisk fast travel doesn't work inside the rift — you're on foot, flying, or riding to get around the enemy continent. Enemy Kisks are guarded by NPCs that can kill you fast — keep your distance from them unless you've got PvP on and numbers on your side.
Quick checklist before you go in
- Check the next opening time (the live countdown above) and be near the portal early — fly or run there, don't rely on auto-travel.
- Set War Mode on or off before entering — you can't change it once inside.
- Carry a Resurrection Spiritstone.
- Pick up Uru's/Mino's quests BEFORE entering — that's extra reward on top of whatever you find inside.
- Plan a route: group your objectives together, and steer clear of enemy Kisks and guards.
