Full rundown
Ten minutes before launch NCSOFT confirmed there would be no delay: 6:00 AM PDT / 15:00 CEST, right after the 8-hour maintenance that closed Advanced Access (what the maintenance changed). The "we're live" post followed with a list of key earlier notices. The ones that actually affect players have their own write-ups:
The list also links a "New Attendance Event" notice, which hadn't appeared on the announcements board as of October 6.
Launch FAQ highlights
- Business model — free-to-play. Paid extras are cosmetics, a Battle Pass and a membership that unlocks the player-driven economy and currency exchange.
- Steam vs PURPLE — same content, same servers. You don't need to link Steam to PURPLE unless you want to play the same character from both launchers.
- Languages — voice: English, Japanese, Korean; UI and subtitles: English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Japanese, Korean. Change it via the gear icon (top right) → language tab.
- Regions — servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan.
- Platforms — Windows only (Steam, PURPLE), no mobile version. Controllers work but aren't officially supported; Linux and Steam Deck likewise may work, without official support.
- KR/TW — no progress carries over from the Korean and Taiwanese versions. Same goes for codes — global codes are separate.
- Support: help.plaync.com; in-game bugs go to the bug-reports channel on the official Discord.
Playing through PURPLE from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore or Thailand? Switch your PURPLE region to "Global", or the game won't show up in your library (separate notice from September 30).
The same day NCSOFT announced two active-player milestones — 300,000 and 400,000 — with a gift for each (gifts roundup).
