Some systems work differently on global than in Korea and Taiwan, so Korean guides often quote other numbers. Where that matters, the entry says so.
A
Abyss — a large PvP zone between the two factions. You get in at 1000 item level after the "Forgotten Commander" quest. Time is limited: 7 hours a week per layer.
AP (Abyss Points) — earned from kills and quests in the Abyss and spent in the Abyss shop. Game8 and couga54 both say to buy Stigma Shards first.
Arcana — cards in 5 slots, available from 45. Each gives stats and skill levels, and cards from one set add a set bonus. They drop in Transcendence dungeons. Global has 5 slots (Korea has more).
Ascension Gauge — the story stops at levels 22 and 32 until this bar is at 100%. Green quests fill it fastest. Details in the leveling guide.
Ascension Trial — a weekly challenge from 45: 3 entries per character, rewards scale with difficulty. Run it just before the Wednesday reset.
Asmodian — one of the two factions (the other is Elyos). Your faction decides who you group with and who you fight in the Abyss. Server transfers only work within a faction.
Attendance — a daily reward just for logging in.
B
Breakthrough — enhancing past +15 (up to +20), with its own material and a chance to fail (Grobs). A long way after 45.
C
Clash Rune — runes in two slots, from quests (including post-45 regional quests); a destroyed one can be bought back in the Nightmare shop (aLuckyRO). Enhancing a rune can destroy it — don't take a quest rune past +1.
Combat Power (CP) — a number in the tens of thousands that counts your whole character: gear, Daevanion, Arcana, titles, wings, Pantheon. Groups often ask for it. It is not the same as item level (mein-mmo, thegameswiki).
Conquest — the harder mode of expedition dungeons, from 45 and 700 item level (Krao Cave, Draupnir). A chest costs 40 Odyle Energy. See also Exploration.
Cube — your inventory bag. The first expansions are cheap; later ones cost millions of Kinah.
D
Daeva — what the game calls player characters: winged beings. Hence Daeva Pass, Daevanion and the wing names.
Daeva Pass — the season pass, levelled with pass EXP that has a weekly cap.
Daevanion (Daevanion Board) — boards of stat and skill-level nodes. Global has 5: Nezekan (from 12), Zikel (20), Vaizel (30), Triniel (40) and Azphel (45, PvP only). Points come from Daevanion Crystals — spend them right away, each is +1 item level. Your class route is in your class guide, e.g. Templar; more in the Daevanion guide.
Daily Dungeon (Unknown Fissure) — a dungeon for enhancement stones. Despite the name the limit is weekly: 14 entries per server (MetaBot, Game8; couga54 says 7).
Dimensional Invasion — a rift boss in the open world with Shugo-style card rewards. 1 reward key a day, banked up to 7.
Duty Missions — 5 daily missions from 45, shared per server. Journal (J) → Duty.
E
Elyos — the other faction. Elyos start in Poeta and Verteron, Asmodians in Ishalgen and Altgard.
Empyrean Trace ("feathers") — collectibles scattered around the map, including in the air and underwater. Turn them in at the Monolith in town for stats, amulet scrolls and Hidden Cube keys. You collect them once per account. They give less on global than in Korea.
Enhancement ("+10") — upgrading an item with Enhancement Stones and Kinah. Up to +10 it always succeeds; past that it's a chance, and the cost climbs fast.
Episode Quest (gold quest) — the main story. It takes you to 45 and unlocks new systems.
Essence Extraction — gathering: ore, wood, herbs and Odyle from nodes on the map. On global it works from level 10. Not to be confused with Item Extraction.
Expedition — group dungeons (1–5 players) with two modes: Exploration (from level 20, easier, chest 20–30 energy, 7 rewards a week per dungeon) and Conquest (from 45).
F
Flight Power — your flight stamina. Every pair of wings you own adds to it, not just the ones you wear. Take off with V.
G
Gear Score (GS) — another name for item level. See Item level.
Genus Insight — stat bonuses against specific monster families (Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian, Special), levelled with crystals that drop from monsters. Don't lock stats before Genus reaches level 10 — every lock makes the next reroll pricier.
H
Hidden Cube — a hidden chest in a hard-to-reach spot. Gold ones open freely, red ones need a key (Key: Hidden Cube). You can hear them from a distance.
I
Item level (iLvl) — the sum of your gear's power (plus things like Daevanion). This is the number dungeons check: Conquest from 700, Abyss from 1000, the raid from 2800. Sources also call it Gear Score or Gear Power.
Item Extraction — salvaging items into enhancement stones and wardrobe skins. Manastones and Theostones in a salvaged item are lost.
K
Kinah (Kina) — the normal in-game gold, from mobs, quests and missions. Never buy it from third-party sellers — NCSOFT has warned about bans.
L
Legion — a guild. couga54 says to join one before the Abyss, where solo farming is inefficient.
M
Manastone — a stone you socket into gear for stats. Superior ones are very expensive and are lost when you salvage the item — only use cheap ones on levelling gear.
Membership (Special Quai) — paid membership (about USD 15 for 30 days). Among other things: Odyle Energy cap 840 instead of 560, a second reward from chests and full market access. The game is free and playable without it.
Monolith — the obelisk in town where you hand in feathers (Empyrean Trace). Its levels give stats, amulet scrolls, keys and a title.
Morph (Substance Morph) — the item conversion window. Main use: turn your +10 amulet and belt into a higher rarity. The item must be unequipped from every gear preset. You also craft extra Odyle Energy here every week.
N
Nightmare — solo bosses from 45, each with 10 difficulty tiers. 2 attempts a day, banked up to 14; an attempt is only used when the boss dies.
O
Odyle Energy — what you spend to open reward chests after dungeons (Expedition, Transcendence, Sanctuary). It charges from level 22: 15 every 3 hours, cap 560 (840 with membership). Each character has its own. More: Odyle Energy guide.
P
Pantheon — your hall of statues and artworks, each giving permanent stats. Unlocks with the Ascension quest at level 22.
Pet — every monster species becomes a pet once you collect enough of its "souls" (by killing it). The collection is shared across characters on the server and gives permanent bonuses. On global a pet maxes at level 3 (5 in Korea).
Q
Quna — the premium currency bought with real money. Used for things like dyes (expensive — about 1400 Quna per set according to EUTOPIA) and shop items. Membership unlocks the Quna Exchange (Game8).
R
Regional Quest (green quest) — a zone's side quests (Journal → Regional). They fill the Ascension gauge, and after 45 they give rings, earrings, a necklace and runes.
S
Sanctuary — the 10-player raid from 2800 item level, the hardest PvE in season 1.
Sealed Dungeon — a small solo dungeon under a question mark on the map. Each gives 2 Daevanion crystals, 2 skill points, stones and a title. On global the ones on the enemy faction's map no longer give crystals.
Shugo — the race of small merchants in the game world. The Shugo Festival is a set of hourly minigames that pay out reward cards; full rewards from 45. Keys: 3 a day, capped at 12 (21 with membership).
Soul Binding — 4 extra stat lines on gear, which can also roll skill levels. You change them by sacrificing another item (ideally a gold one). A soul-bound item can't be sold or traded. Don't do it on levelling gear.
Stigma — extra skills outside your class's base kit. Global has 4 slots, at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37. Stigma Shards level them up. Class picks: e.g. Cleric, Sorcerer; more in the stigma guide.
Stronghold — an enemy camp on the map to clear out. Each gives 2 belt enhancement scrolls — the only source of them.
T
Theostone — a gear stone with a "chance on hit" effect. Grobs: nearly useless in PvE, can be good in PvP. Lost when the item is salvaged.
Title — every title you unlock gives a permanent bonus, and you also equip one in each of three slots (offensive, defensive, utility).
Transcendence — dungeons that drop Arcana cards, from 45 and about 1600 item level, with tiers ★1–★4. 2 reward counters a day, banked up to 14.
W
Wardrobe — your collection of skins from salvaged items. Collected skins give percentage stat bonuses.
Wings — from Ascension quests (levels 5, 22, 32, 45) and other sources. Each pair has a bonus while worn and a second one just for owning it, forever. Wings window: Alt+C.
Wisdom Stone — gives a skill point. You get them from Sealed Dungeons, among others (Game8: 2 each; couga54 lists 2 skill points per Sealed Dungeon).
