Aion 2 · global version · Updated:

Templar Guide & Build (Aion 2)

Weapon: sword and shield · Role: tank (protects the group)

Everything for the Templar from level 1 to the endgame: what to max, how to set up your skill bar, what not to miss in the campaign, gear, your first dungeon as a tank and a plan for after 45. Collected from several guides and from players. Where sources disagree, I say so openly.

12

Set your level and you will see below what to do right now. The page remembers it in this browser.

Skill points

  • Daevanion: Judgment → Punishment → Pummel (Daevanion tab)
  • Skill points as before

Watch out / what to do

  • Don't click “Acquire All Nodes”
  • From 13: Sealed Dungeons give crystals and points

Next milestone: level 14

  • Punishment starts to matter

Where to put your next point

Enter your skill levels from the in-game skill window. The page calculates for the character level set above and remembers your entries in this browser.

Skill bar for level 12

Arrange your skills like this in the skill window. Row 0 is the row right at the bar and has the highest priority. A filler with no cooldown always goes at the top of its column (Lipej).

Change at 12: On RMB in row 0 you add Annihilate.

Next change at 14: On E you place Punishment: hold it to stage 3, on every elite.

Flash Rampage stays off the bar, because most sources skip it while leveling. Slots 4 and 8 stay free, e.g. for potions.

Rules that never change

  • Judgment, Punishment and Pummel are your core. All sources agree: these three should end up at 20.
  • Skill points (Wisdom Stone items from Sealed Dungeons and green side quests) raise skills only up to 10. Beyond that (11–20) you top up with the Daevanion board (blue nodes: active skills, green: passives, +4 in total), Arcana cards and soul binding on gear (e.g. rings +2).
  • Don't spread levels evenly. Take a few key skills to 16 first, then to 20. Choose Daevanion nodes, Arcana cards and soul binding stats for those same skills (Lipej).
  • Resetting skill points is free, so feel free to experiment. Only resetting Stigmas costs money (Kina).
