Best Solo Class in Aion 2

For playing alone, Gladiator (heals off its attacks, kills fast) and Elementalist (the spirit takes the boss's attention) are the top picks. Cleric almost never dies but kills slowly. Templar is the slowest solo.

This page depends on the current game version. Checked on October 6, 2026; we review it every week.

What makes a good solo class?

Alone, you have no tank and no healer. The class has to:

  • survive on its own — heal off attacks, shield itself, or have something (a spirit) that takes the hits;
  • kill fast — that's your leveling and farming speed;
  • get mana back so you're not sitting around between pulls.

A class with only one of the three struggles solo.

Solo ranking

ClassSolo survivabilityKill speedVerdict
Gladiatorhigh — heals from Blood Absorption, Mocking Blade, Crushing Wave; no potions on normal mobs (couga54, Grobs, Game8)highbest solo for most players
Elementalisthigh — self-heals, and Earth Spirit pulls the boss: "the boss hits the spirit, not you" (aLuckyRO, couga54, DankRNG)high, grows with fight lengthjust as good; Game8 rates its survivability 2/5 though — sources disagree
Clericvery high — heals and shields (ExpCarry, Game8); Mein-MMO calls solo questing "very relaxed"low — slower than pure DPS (ExpCarry, MMO Codex)safe but slow
Rangermedium — soft, but has HP drain and attacks on the move (Moxsy, FRESHY)high, but weak early (aLuckyRO)Game8 lists it as one of its two best solo classes thanks to kiting (shooting while backing off)
Assassinlow — no block; HP steal keeps it alivevery high on single targetsgreat in skilled hands; Game8: "high single-target damage"
Chantermedium — Recuperation, shieldsmedium; Rushing Smash resets on killlevels well (couga54/Titan, LR)
Sorcererlow — glass cannon (Game8 1/5)highest AoEgood if you hold your distance; Steel Barrier for hard bosses (couga54)
Templarvery highlowslowest solo; couga54: solo Abyss farming on Templar is inefficient — go as a pair

Game8 names Ranger and Assassin as the best solo classes — it looks mostly at kill speed. We rank Gladiator and Elementalist higher because a new solo player is more often held back by dying than by killing slowly, and those two rarely die.

Gladiator or Elementalist?

  • Gladiator — melee, simple rotation (Game8; couga54 "Easy"), hops pack to pack because kills reset Leaping Slam. Downside: mana is tight in the first levels (aLuckyRO).
  • Elementalist — ranged, with a spirit at your side. Strongest in long boss fights (DankRNG, couga54) because its damage ramps over time. Downside: low mobility, and dying with buffs on cooldown hurts it most (couga54).

Like hitting things up close — Gladiator. Prefer standing back while your spirit tanks — Elementalist.

What can you solo, and what needs a group?

Leveling 1–45 is soloable on any class: main story, regional quests and Sealed Dungeons (one-player mini dungeons).

After 45:

  • Solo: Nightmare (one-player bosses — an attempt is only used when you kill the boss), sealed dungeons and strongholds on your map, and Krao Cave in Exploration mode (1–5 players) — couga54, Game8, MetaBot. Full plan: what to do after 45.
  • Group: the next gear dungeons, e.g. Vakron Sky Island (2–5 players), and farming in the Abyss, which is a PvP zone (couga54).

So a "solo class" mostly means a smoother 1–45 and daily farming. Sooner or later you'll party up — and that's where Cleric, Templar and Chanter have it easiest, because groups go looking for them.

How to choose if you play alone

  1. Fastest, no fuss → Gladiator.
  2. Ranged and relaxed → Elementalist.
  3. Never want to die and aren't in a hurry → Cleric.
  4. Love moving and shooting → Ranger, but push through the weak start.
